Power Hockey Development

"Adding POWER to your GAME"

Our Approach

Hockey players of all age groups, very seldom receive enough quality ice time to work on the basics of the game itself. Therefore their development is hindered despite their desire to play the game. Our goal at Power Hockey Development (P.H.D) is to ensure that each child is challenged to his/her full potential as a hockey player. Recognizing the need for specialized training, P.H.D has designed a specialized Hockey Development Program to meet the needs of all hockey players of all age groups.

Our Power Hockey Development programs are designed for those hockey players who want to improve their level of play, in all dimensions of their game.  Since skating is the most important facet of the game, approximately half of each session will be devoted to building and developing each players skating performance.  The remainder of the session will concentrate on puck handling and control, giving and receiving passes, and shooting.

Our programs are also designed to focus on ice conditioning and skills maintenance. The programs at P.H.D are technically and physically demanding, however our teaching methods make it enjoyable and interesting for each student. At P.H.D we understand the importance of conditioning and adhere to it strongly during our classes. Even though conditioning is an essential part of hockey, the building and development of it is often ignored.

Power Hockey's formula for achieving improvement in aspiring  hockey students is to practice and perform different hockey skills as well as build self-confidence, self-motivation, value and a believe in yourself attitude. P.H.D provides each individual player the opportunity of progressing from level to level. The program will create an atmosphere for young hockey students that will help them stay fresh, focused and interested in developing their skills. We not only improve individual skills but also stress the importance of TEAM play, since we feel it is necessary for each player to become better hockey players as well as individuals.
